Earlier in the summer Eric and I had toyed with the idea of taking the kids to Disneyland before we head off overseas. Since we were much closer to California during our stay in Henderson, we packed our bags, and drove over to Anneheim, CA for a week. We had a blast at Disneyland, and we all realized that it truly is the happiest place on earth. All the kids loved every minute of it (except for the walking back to the hotel when they were tired part). In order to combat the tendency to get overly exhausted, we decided we would wake early and spend each morning at the parks, and head back to hotel just after lunch where we, drew the blinds, snuggled in, and we all (including mom and dad) took a much needed nap. Then we woke up rejuvenated and went back to the park where we enjoyed the evening, and caught the late-night shows. This way were were able to avoid the hottest and busiest part of the day, and we all got naps. We all loved Disneyland and California Adventure Park. We managed to go on just about every ride, and hit our favorite rides multiple times. Favorites included, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and California Screamin, and Toy Story. We were surprised to find out that our timid little Tucker is very fond of extremely fast thrill rides and roller coasters! Although he barely made the minimum height requirement of 40” (he’s 40.5”) he loved every single fast roller coaster, and asked repeatedly to “go again.” We enjoyed seeing the Disney characters, taking pictures, riding the rides, seeing the parades (best. parades. ever.), listening to the live music and entertainment, watching the fireworks. Seriously, what’s not to like about Disneyland? We had a wonderful time.
