After staying with the Sturdevants for a few more days, we headed up to Prosper, TX near Dallas for a wonderful Harden Family Hu-rah. It was wonderful to see everyone again, and we had a great time eating, visiting, swimming, playing, eating more, and we even played a real live game of Family Feud. My oldest brother and his family were also at the beginning of a move - to North Carolina. The family is spreading apart, it seems, but we’ll always be close at heart. It was great to share those memories with the whole family before we took off to Vienna.
Cooper and Addie bear and uncanny resemblance to their cousins Sam and Noah. They have a lot of fun together too.

The last week of our summer, we started making the final preparations at our house before the movers were to come and pack up our Texas life for good. Friday we had our last two showings of the house while it was staged. Saturday, we de-staged the house, and took all of the beautiful accent pieces back to our friends. I must admit, that I was feeling a little blue about the house not selling, when I had such high hopes that it would….
… But lo, and behold - one of those last two showings, ended up making an offer on the house! Talk about wonderful timing! The last few days of our Dripping Springs stay included three crazy days of movers packing, a whole lot of last minute organizing (what goes in luggage? what goes in air shipment? what goes on boat shipment?), a house inspector - inspecting, last minute buyer negotiating, and rushing a power of attorney application (so that Eric’s brother could sign at closing for us). Yes, it was nuts, to say the least - But lesson learned, I should have never doubted, because in the end, it all worked out - and though it was crazy last minute, and we were literally signing paper work on our way out of town - the house was officially under contract and all was well in the world. Prayer seriously works, people.
The movers kept wanting to pack up our airplane luggage that was all together covering the kitchen floor (pictured here). When I told them, "No, dont' pack that - that's our luggage,"they looked at me like I was insane. What?!
